NEW MEMBER'S ORIENTATION

Welcome to the family!

We are so excited that you have decided to learn, serve, and grow with us! Your decision could not have come at a more perfect time! As a church, we are still learning how to love, serve, and grow together. The mission of The Church is to continue the work that Jesus, the Christ, started. St. Luke 19:10 reads, "For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost." Our first priority is to reach those that are, 1) not prepared for eternity, 2) pursuing the will of God, and 3) those who do not know their 'God-designed' purpose. Our local congregation chooses not to rely on traditional religious practices and denominational methods alone, to do the Work of the Church. Instead, we focus on acting in love that is relevant and responsive. Loving others must continue to be intentional and productive.

Our hope is that you go on this journey to impact the world for Christ, with us. There's no need to think you have to be perfect or have it all together - because none of us do. We only expect everyone to be patient, compassionate, and operate with a measure of grace. There are so many areas that we need help, and we cannot do it alone.

New member's orientation is a 6-week class scheduled on 2nd and 4th Sundays. Our Pastor, Jerrold Greenwood, leads the orientation class. He uses that time so that he can get to know every member and they can get to know him. Ministry leaders of the church will also share personal stories of their labor in ministry.

Although new member's orientation is not mandatory, it is strongly encouraged.

"I AM A CHURCH MEMBER" by Thomas S. Rainer is one of the resources used in orientation. Our pastor's animated and interactive style of teaching will definitely make every class fun-filled and enlightening.
